If you want to update statuses in the Field App you have to select "Status Update" in the "More" tab. Once you make your updates you have to back out of the tasks window back into the "More" tab then select "sync". Wouldn't be simpler to have a sync button in the tasks viewer?

Apologies for the delayed response on this Idea however I have marked it as "Planned".
In the short-term, we will be working on near real-time sync for Resource Statusing and this will be included in an upcoming release (date to be confirmed) and this will sync the status on save, which may mitigate the need for the sync button.
That said, in the future, we will be looking to add a Sync Button so that it aligns with what Forms do in SYNCHRO Field.
