Selected model element highlights in hierarchy tree

When a model element is selected it highlights that element in the model tree hierarchy (Similar to the behavior in 4D Pro).

    Hi Thomas,

Just as an update, I spoke with the team and we have added this request to the backlog. We need to complete so other dependent work first, and this is planned for the second half of this year, and then this update will follow.

I can't give exact dates at this time but I will update you once I have a better understanding of the release timeframe.

    Many thanks,

    Luke

Hey Luke this was requested by the Florida DOT team when I was out there for a site visit earlier this year.

This would quickly identify the object in the resource tree, allowing the user to know what parent resource it belongs to. Allowing users to select all the resources within the parent, by selecting the parent. Making it easier for them to filter, navigate and create saved views. Instead of having to select items look at the properties, and then reference the tree.

Hopefully this makes sense. We can jump on a call and I can show you how this functionality works in 4D, and the advantages it has.

    Hi Thomas,

Thanks for submitting this Idea and apologies for the delayed response.

Could you give me a bit more information about how this would benefit the user in Field?

To be clear, I am not questioning the Idea, I would just like to understand the reasoning behind it.

    Thanks in advance,

    Luke
