Informed status update sync

Is status sync still happening in the background?

1) when app is minimized

2) when screen is locked

Can we raise banner notification after status update is completed instead of in-app?

Can we provide an optional report, and email to selected users?

and a wilder idea, can we include saved views per Task/ RG with latest statuses and colors?

[11:24 AM] Travis CobbsOnce the data has been sent to the server, it is still happening, no matter what state the app is in.

[11:24 AM] Travis Cobbs(You can even kill the app.

[11:38 AM] Satyakam KhadilkarJacqueline Chen, about helping the user in current version. You can mention that if there is any error while sending the status-update-request, you will immediately get an error after pressing the button. If you see a spinner and there is no error for few seconds, your request is sent and the user can stop using the app. This is just temporary explainatin for now.(1 liked)

[11:39 AM] Travis CobbsJacqueline: Also, if we are properly using the network spinner in the iOS status panel, it is safe to assume all data has been sent once that stops spinning.(1 liked)

[11:42 AM] Travis CobbsYou're welcome. And my status bar network spinner suggestion might not work. Once I synced a status change, that network spinner pretty much stayed on (which is a bug).[12:51 PM] Vincas RazmaJacqueline Chen what Travis and Satyakam said is correct, we did simple UI because there was no UX input at the time and some solution was required. Now we can definitely revisit and provide more information. There is also email thread with UX on this, but was not concluded or prioritised. Will forward that you, we can bring this up with Sarune in next week UX work planning meeting.(1 liked)
